Trendy stoles channeling fashionistas?
How to wear a stole this fall winter what a persistent theme! Fashion rules apparently say that it has to be belted. Tightening a scarf at the waist indeed is a very cool idea, but maybe it should be styled “cum grano salis” and avoiding bulky results. My “grano salis” says that there are a hundred ways to wear a stole, just don’t wrap the thing like old ladies did in vintage pictures. Maybe let one side hang noticeably lower, especially if it’s a knitted stole, or roll it just once while wrapping yourself in order to create some volume.
Also, as cool as a fur stole can be, there are neat non hairy trendy stoles like this one. It’s a patchwork of I don’t even know how many fabrics, expertly assembled as to give a perfect balanced balanced harmony in colors and weight (errr…no recurrent slipping on the same side). It has a boho touch and makes an unexpected statement, the neutral colors go with almost everything and it happens to also be spot on the patchwork trend. I think it may be one of my biggest crushes this fall.
The Hermes Birkin and the Hermes Kelly boots don’t even need an introduction. I love to do the high boots with skirts thing in winter, and it’s perfect for mini skirts.
