Cut-off shorts outfits don’t compulsorily imply wearing tiny teeny things.
Styling denim on denim is challenging by itself, let alone doing it with shorts. One of my favorite tricks to make summer shorts a go-to no brainer solution is choosing shorts that aren’t to micro mini or tight. Boyfriend shorts, that is. I purposedly wanted my Rag And bone ones to be baggy, but you can get the same result by sizing down instead of sizing up like I did.
Another favorite trick of mine to elevate shorts outfits is either pairing shorts with a tailored jacket when I want to give them a urban feel, or eventually opting for a shirt instead of a top, which makes my look more pulled together. I usually tuck my shirts or blouse in my shorts, but for a more casual look I love to tie my shirt around my waist.
Tying a shirt in the front.
This litle knot in the front is actually very practical, I tie shirts lower on my waist or higher depending on the style, proportions and how much I want to cover. Also, if I want to do the denim on denim thing it’s a great way to pair different jeans washes without too much thinking.
Oh and… you should try this to play with the waves on the beach, who cares if you get wet!
