Burgundy trend. Is oxblood the new black?
Wine colors are a must for fall winter. The trend is so undeniably strong for both accessories and clothing that almost every collection of every designer includes a touch of burgundy, and I am a happy woman.
Many people say that it’s a color that you either love or hate: I think it’s a color that you have to learn to love. Once you go through a couple of trials and errors, you can style outfits that will reward you many many times without too much thinking.
The first good thing about winey colors is that they are somehow neutral and match an impressive range of pieces already in your wardrobe (think black, beige, brown, grey).
The second good thing is that being an easy and discreet shade, it’s a good start for those girls who love color but then don’t manage to wear it. those girls who crave for color but just don’t manage to do it.
The third thing is that if you feel confident enough, this color pairs amazingly well with bright red or pinks such as fuchsia. If you match the pieces well enough, oxblood can actually dampen your outfit and help you wear loud warm colors just like I did here layering this Golden Goose sweatshirt over a bright red Dsquared2 mini skirt.
