No dupes here, but lots of options for sure (8 different vampy nail polishes precisely) just in case you love the dark/burgundy/oxblood nail polish trend but you don't know how to choose your perfect color for 2013.
In this vampy galore I am going to compare the following nail polishes:
Chanel Provocation

Truth be told I have other vampy options in my stash (Essie, Dior, Mac, Yves Saint Laurent and who knows what else, yes I do have a problem with vampy nail polishes),
so if there are some specific comparisons that you would like me to add, just ask in the comments, in case I own the ones that you are curious about.
Which one of these beauties is your favorite?
I think that I am personally leaning towards Chanel Provocation and Chanel Vertigo.
But I honestly don't know if this is a definite decision since before these new releases in the past few months, I could have said that if I had to choose just one nail polish in my life it could have been be Rouge Noir (or maybe a bright red, but that's another story).
The formula on all these nail polishes was very good to sometimes excellent and application was very easy.

Great swatches. I wish I had bought Chanel Provocation instead of Dior Orchid, which is not as good as Chanel polishes. I'm trying to resist buying any new polishes for awhile, I have too many! XO, Jill

ReplyDeleteI purposedly skipped Dior Orchid exactly because It was too similar to Chanel Provocation and I opted for Dior Poison instead, because it is as dark but it has definite cool purple/almost blueish undertones so it is a different kind of vampy nail polish.
That said Dior Orchid is a great almost dupe of Chanel Provocation (and I hope I won't feel tempted when I get to the bottom of my Provocation bottle).
I purposedly choose all the non-Chanel lacquers showed here to have warm undertones, because this is how Chanel Provocation is and it was my start for this comparison swatch post, but if you are curious about something else, such as the cooler toned ones, just let me know.
Do you really like better the Chanel quality over the Dior quality? I am curious to know because I have found differences depending on the colors but I still don't know as an overall general opinion which one is better. They are both very good, but maybe have a slight preference for Chanel. Opi is definetly better though, quality wise, but the Chanel colors are impossible to beat.
