OPI Fly (OPI.com for locations, Lena White and Opishop Italia) is a bright teal blue creme. A bit in your face but not too bright and not too loud, it unexpectedly looks quite grown up and and it doesn't have any real dupes.

Fly is part of the Nicki Minaj for OPI collection and it is the first collection that OPI is offering to us based on the trends for spring summer 2012.

OPI Fly (OPI.com for locations, Lena White e Opishop Italia) è uno smalto creme blu teal medio, decisamente acceso ma dal sapore piacevolmente adulto.

Fly è uno dei sei smalti della collezione frutto della collaborazione tra Nicki Minaj e OPI, ma è anche la prima parte delle offerte OPI basata sulle tendenze primavera estate 2012.

I initially thought that this color would have been very bright, too bright for my tastes honestly, but I have found out that the complexity of this hue made it much more acceptable, wearable (and covetable) than I imagined. It screams modernity and coolness, it screams summer, and on top of that I didn't find any real dupes.

All the colors that look similar are… well, I am sorry for competitors, but 90% of the others are neither as beautiful nor as intriguing (there still are a couple of other teal colors that i really are worth the purchase, but they are definitly different looking while still being teal blues).

It is strong but muted at the same time, and I love it.

This nail polish offers full opacity (no VNL visible nail line) in two coats, and it is self leveling.

Inizialmente pensavo che questo colore sarebbe stato molto forte, troppo forte per i miei gusti, ma ho scoperto che la complessità del colore lo rendeva molto più portabile ed armonioso di quanto non avessi immaginato.

E' un colore estivo, che sa di modernità, di attualità, e che ha incuriosito parecchie persone di quelle che me lo hanno visto indossare. E per di più non ho trovato nessun altro colore in circolazione che fosse realmente simile. 

Tutti gli altri colori simili in circolazione mi sono sembrati… beh mi dispiace per i competitori, ma il 90% dei colori simili in circolazione non sono ne così belli ne così intriganti quanto lo è questo (ci sono ancora un paio di altri blu teal che considero valga la pena acquistare, ma, almeno ai miei occhi sono colori decisamente diversi).

Insomma è un colore forte, ma la cui forza è mitigata da una sorta di sofisticazione, il che lo rende certo strano ma anche chic.

Questo smalto è totalmente coprente in due passate (non lascia intravedere la linea dell'unghia) ed è autolivellante.

Application

I found the formula a bit thinner that the usual thick OPI formula, but it is highly pigmented and you easily achieve full opacity in two coats. It is a full creme and with zero VNL. It is pleasantly self leveling, and I love the OPI pro wide brush which in my opinion helps a good application.  

Fly is two coats in my pictures.

I used OPI Ridge Filler as a base coat because I find it helps bringing out strong colors, and Seche Vite Top Coat.

Applicazione

Ho trovato questo smalto leggermente più liquido degli soliti smalti spessi OPI, ma è fortemente pigmentato, ed è facile arrivare ad un risultato ottimale totalmente coprente con due passate. E' un creme deciso, totalmente coprente, che non lascia intravedere nessuna demarcazione della linea dell'unghia. E' piacevolmente autolivellante ed il largo pennello OPI Pro Wide secondo la mia modesta opinione favorisce l'applicazione.

Nelle mie foto ho utilizzato due passate di Fly.

Ho inoltre usato OPI Ridge Filler come base perché trovo che aiuti a far risaltare i colori forti, e Seche Vite Top Coat .

Removal

Removal is easy. I personally find OPI creme nail polishes to be some of the easyest to remove (for example I find Chanel nail polish slightly harder to remove).

Rimuovere

Rimuovere questo smalto è facile. Personalmente trovo che gli smalti creme OPI siano tra i più facili da rimuovere (ad esempi trovo che gli smalti Chanel siano leggermente più difficili da rimuovere).
